Film

The Greenhouse Ensemble has a strong background in filmmaking. In dad’s, dates and other disturbances, we shot 4 short films. Following those films, we shot the unspeakable passion of mitch devoe, followed by lifestyle content, lenny runs away, and our current feature length documentary capturing the battle between the center and west park presbyterian church.

In february of 2020, we founded the upper west side film festival, which is now on its 4th year. During the pandemic we pivoted to film and worked with artists across the world to create “live films”. We encouraged filmmakers to utilize camera movement, multiple angles, lighting, costumes, special effects, and more. This series was called our quarantine soiree and it ran for 33 weeks. During this time we also had a brief series called “short tuesdays” where we live streamed short films followed by detailed discussions with the filmmakers.
